Children 8+ and adults CPR

CPR for Older Children (8+) and Adults: Call – Push – Shock
When someone collapses and stops breathing normally, every second matters. In this video, you’ll learn how to recognise cardiac arrest and respond using CPR and an automated external defibrillator (AED). This training follows ANZCOR guidelines and is designed to help you feel confident taking action until professional help arrives.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Check for danger, responsiveness, and breathing

  • Call 000 (or your local emergency number) for help

  • Begin chest compressions fast and hard in the centre of the chest at 100–120 per minute

  • Give 2 rescue breaths

  • Use an AED/defib early to restore a normal heart rhythm

  • Follow prompts and ensure pads are placed correctly

  • Continue CPR + defib until signs of life return or help arrives

This training is designed for parents, carers, and anyone who wants to feel confident in an emergency. Knowing what to do in those first few minutes can make all the difference. This video is educational in nature and does not constitute for medical advice. It is part of The Sisterhood Project’s First Aid Learning Series, created to help families feel calm and confident in an emergency.
