Child 1-8 years CPR

This step-by-step video teaches you how to respond when a child becomes unresponsive and stops breathing normally. Using evidence-based guidance from the ANZCOR (Australian and New Zealand Committee on Resuscitation), you’ll learn the key differences between infant and child CPR, and how to perform each step safely and effectively.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Check for Danger and Response and Send for help

  • Open the Airway and check for normal Breathing

  • Give rescue breaths

  • Perform 30 chest compressions using one hand

  • Continue cycles of 30 compressions and 2 breaths until the child begins breathing or emergency help arrives

This training is designed for parents, carers, and anyone who wants to feel confident in an emergency. Knowing what to do in those first few minutes can make all the difference. This video is educational in nature and does not constitute for medical advice. It is part of The Sisterhood Project’s First Aid Learning Series, created to help families feel calm and confident in an emergency.
