Childhood illness
When a child is unwell, it can be difficult to know whether they need extra rest at home, a visit to the GP, or urgent medical attention.
In this short educational video, paediatric intensive care nurse and The Sisterhood Project co-founder Grace Larson shares practical guidance to help parents, carers, grandparents, and families recognise the signs that a child may be seriously unwell.
Topics covered include:
• Changes in breathing and signs of respiratory distress
• Reduced responsiveness, lethargy, and altered behaviour
• Signs of reduced oxygen levels in the blood
• What parents and carers should look for when monitoring an unwell child
